Thanksgiving 2010

We started the Thanksgiving holiday waking up early to support me at my second 5K race.

At the start of the race.

After the race we went to play a "friendly game" of flag football with some friends. Unfortunelty while Emilio was watching Kennedy on the sidelines I was hit by someone from the other team who did not see me and splat I was laid out flat. I ended up with a bloody and swollen lip and bruised knee.

Emilio snapped a photo before coming to my rescue!

Later that afternoon we made it out to my brother's house and ate till we could no longer eat. We had so much fun and the icing on the cake that night was Texas A&M beating the hell out of Texas!

The next day Emilio and I flew out to Tegucigalpa for a friend's wedding. It was lots of fun and it was also my first time to visit Tegucigalpa and Valle de Angles.

We are so thankful for all that God has given us this year. We are thankful to be home and to have enjoyed a wonderful holiday with family and friends. We look forward to the Christmas season and ending this year with a bang.

PS. Here's a video of Kennedy in the car and also one of her at Costco playing the piano. I think she likes to dance....I'm just guessing....enjoy.

Trick or Treat

We all woke up quite early Saturday morning as I was racing my first compeititve 5K and my two cheerleaders were coming to support me. I was quite nervous the day of the race and had butterflies in my stomach but thankfully all went well and I finished the race in 27 minutes. I plan on doing my next race on Thanksgiving day - hopefully to better time.

After the race we all took a nap and once we all woke up it was time to get some organizing done in the house. As you can see in one of the pictures Miss Kennedy was having too much fun playing in a cardboard box. She wasn't having as much fun in that box on Sunday as she lost her footing and slipped and hit the edge of the box. You can see her battle wounds in the Halloween pics.

On Halloween we went over to the Wyss' and enjoyed the best burgers in town. Kennedy helped pass candy to the few trick or treaters we had. All in all it was a great weekend.
She spent hours in this box.

Here I am with Kennedy and my (super awesome) trainer

Having a blast I tell you!
She loves her Cheerios and dried blueberries.
Having fun with the Wyss'.
Horse-playing with daddy.
She liked Geo's corn on the cob A LOT!
